A: UPA provides its award-winning Practice Management software at no added cost. You can access it anytime day or night. This relieves your practice of the burden and costly fees to maintain a software.


Q: Does my practice receive software training?

A: Yes, UPA provides initial training during your implementation period. Training of new concepts and features will be made available as needed to educate your office staff.


Q: How secure is my information?

A: All data is encrypted, and each practice has their own dataset. Everything is password protected.


Q: Who will our patients contact for billing questions?

A: Your patients will contact UPA’s dedicated customer service department.


Q: Who will my practice contact for application support?

A: Your practice will work directly with UPA’s local onsite help desk.


Q: Who will do my coding?

A: The provider is responsible for proper documentation, coding and linking.


Q: What is the turnaround time for billing?

A: UPA transmits clean claims electronically within 72 hours of receipt.


Q: How much does this service cost?

A: UPA does not charge on a per claim basis. There is just one flat fee based on the amount we collect for you.


Q: Where are my payments mailed?

A: UPA requires the use of a lockbox with your financial institution. Your bank will deposit payments into your account then supply UPA with your back-up documentation. UPA will process and apply payments, adjustments and denials to your account’s receivables.


Q: What is the contract term for UPA?

A: Annual. Either party can terminate this agreement providing a sixty (60) day written notice.


Q: How will I know the financial standing of my practice?

A: UPA provides a monthly dashboard report of your performance indicators.


Q: Can I meet with UPA billing staff to discuss my accounts receivable?

A: Yes, meetings are included in our service and encouraged.


Q: What types of practices will UPA do billing for?

A: All specialties. UPA currently manages over forty different specialties.


Q:Is UPA HIPPA Compliant?

A: UPA is fully HIPAA compliant and is committed to meeting HIPAA requirements every step of the way.
